Of course you're saying to yourself, "I don't get it. I need to see it..." Please take a peek at a few screen shots to get an idea of what the program looks like and how it functions.
Main Window Running File Backups and File Syncs Task Wizard Scheduler Internet File Management - FTP Client
As you can see, XKat is an amalgam of Windows Explorer, good old DOS batch files, and an FTP client program. It is not strictly a backup program nor is it a fully featured file management program and neither is it simply an FTP client -- yet it shares characteristics of all of these.
XKat's primary mission is to make it easy to copy and synchronize files again and again between two Windows computers or between a Windows PC and an Internet server. Secondly, with its built-in FTP client, XKat gives you the ability to visually manage your remote Internet files, creating and deleting folders, renaming files, uploading and downloading files by dragging and dropping.
Further, XKat remembers a Windows file's last modified date, a date that is changed when uploading (copying) to Internet servers. This allows you to synchronize files between an Internet server and a Windows PC. |
